Format: The CCSA EXCEL program is designed for players and families with aspirations for more than recreational play. This program is designed to help our youngest players become passionate about the game and develop the necessary skills to become a competitive player. The emphasis is placed on player development. The focus is on individual players developing at their own pace in an environment that is fun, engaging, and focused.

The EXCEL players will be placed into training groups of 8-10 players for each session. The training groups will be changed regularly. Players will be trained by professional, licensed coaches.

Each Saturday, the EXCEL players will play pool games. Teams for these games will be randomly assorted each week and Game Day Coordinators will be asked to watch the game, facilitate substitutions and teach players during the game. The idea is to have fun and play while learning the correct way to do so.

Coaches: The EXCEL program will use professional coaches to run training sessions and facilitate games. The professional coaches will be dedicated to fun and the development of young players.

There are no make-up days for sessions that are rained out.

Parents: The EXCEL program cannot work without your support. Our EXCEL Program is designed to help your child be the best that they can be. Some children will progress quicker than others just like in reading, writing, or arithmetic. The CCSA offers a variety of options for your child, so if you choose this program, support it. If the EXCEL Director deems your behavior as harmful to our EXCEL players, your child will be removed from the program.

Basic tenet of the EXCEL: YOU want more for your child, so does the CCSA. We are in this together. The CCSA will fulfill our soccer part and we expect that you will fulfill your parent part.

Game Format: Games are set-up according to the U.S. Youth Soccer Small-Sided games format. All games will be played in-house versus other EXCEL players.

Equipment: A full uniform will be supplied by the CCSA at the beginning of the season. Parents will need to supply shin guards, cleats, water bottle and a soccer ball. Size 3 balls for U8 division, size 4 balls for U10.
