 2009/2010 All-Stars

If you participated in CCSA's 2010 Fall Recreation program or Fall EXCEL program you are eligible to try-out.   We are having all-stars in U8, U10, U12 and U14 age groups.  Number of teams we will field:

U8: at least 4 boys and 4 girls teams (last year we had 5 of each)

U10: at least 2 boys and 2 girl’s teams

U12: 2 girls and 2 boy’s teams.

U14: 1 girls and 1 boy’s team.  (If there is a huge turnout at tryouts we may do 2 teams)

Cost
Try-outs are free.
The season cost is $85.00. This fee includes 2 Jerseys, tournament fees, and training from professional coaches.

Selection
The players will be selected based on their evaluations at the try-out.  There are multiple coaches and trainers the rate every player.  The Director of Coaches takes this data removes the high and low score for each kid and averages the rest of the scores.  This ensures that one opinion (positive or negative) doesn't sway the players overall score.
Players selected will be notified via email and will need to accept the invitation to be placed on the team.
If a player does not accept the invitation than an alternate player will be invited.  If you are selected and are not going to play please notify Coach Eddie asap so we can offer that spot to another player.

Format
Each team will train twice a week, once with a professional trainer and once with the team's coach.
Teams will participate and compete in age appropriate tournaments against outside competition.  All teams that are formed will be representing the CCSA.  The season will run from Dec 7 to Feb 10.  There will be a break for the holidays.

Equipment:  Parents will need to supply shin guards, cleats, water bottle and a soccer ball.  Size 3 balls for U8 division, size 4 balls for U10 and U12 and size 5 for U14.
Equipment and accessories can be purchased from the CCSA online club store.
